Country captains and work package leaders from the Netherlands, Finland, Italy, and Estonia gathered for a special day of meetings… aboard a boat!

On May 6, the first day of the international Care About IT meeting took place. Country captains and work package leaders from the Netherlands, Finland, Italy, and Estonia gathered for a special day of meetings... aboard a boat!

The day officially kicked off at 9:30 AM with a welcome from Jessica Knopper from Noorderpoort and project manager of Care About IT. Sanna Paloposki, the Finnish country captain, followed with a few practical announcements.

The morning focused on the work packages. Everyone shared their progress, milestones reached, and next steps. Irene Miretti from Apro Formazione started with an update on Work Package 8 – Guidance and Recruitment. We spoke about various aspects, including the training of teachers.

Jessica then gave updates on Work Packages 3 and 5. The Reciprocity app, developed together with Netwerk Zon, is nearly ready for testing in the other countries. After a short coffee break, Sanna gave an update on the microcredentials: each country is developing one, we also discussed the various topics covered within them.

Terje Losvik from Tallinn presented Work Package 4 – Innovation. Jessica then wrapped up with Work Package 9, focusing on impact and evaluation. The meeting ended around 1:30 PM. During the buffet on board, there was plenty of space for informal talks and deeper discussions.

At 7:50 PM, the boat returned to the port of Turku. A full day of insights, clarity, and energy to move forward together.
