Care About IT Hackathon 2025 – A Successful Edition!
After four months of preparation, 150 participants, 30 mentors, and experts from Finland, the Netherlands, Estonia, and Italy came together for the Care About IT International Hackathon. Over two intensive days, 27 teams—including 12 from the Netherlands—collaborated on real-world healthcare challenges, using technology and innovation to find practical solutions.
One of the standout moments was the announcement of the winning teams. The Estonian team secured first place with a solution focused on reducing and reusing hospital waste. The Finnish team came in second, and a Dutch team took third place. Remarkably, two of the three winning teams worked on ‘Operation Waste,’ a challenge we introduced. It was great to see how sustainability in healthcare inspired so many creative and impactful ideas.
