How does quality assurance take shape in Centres of Vocational Excellence in practice? Drawing on the experiences of Care About IT and T-shore, a new article explores how quality assurance is embedded within these two CoVE projects, with a particular focus on stakeholder involvement and innovative teaching and learning methods.
The findings show that both projects combine formal quality structures with practice-based development. Collaboration with the professional field plays a key role, with stakeholders actively involved in curriculum development and education delivery. Innovative approaches to teaching and learning are also being explored, including the use of virtual reality.
At the same time, the article highlights opportunities for further development, particularly when it comes to measuring impact, embedding results and ensuring that innovations become a sustainable part of education.
