Valtes is a Dutch company with the mission to bring peace of mind to informal carers. With artificial intelligence they tailor the needs to the princial carer. Using radar technology they give insight into lifestyles of caretakers. This highlights the challenges of balancing privacy with technological advancements. Valtes will demonstrate their privacy first principle. The owner of the data is the person that ‘generates’ the data.
The objective of this workshop is to give an insight into Valtes’ privacy first principles. As part of the workshop we will discuss some critical ethical dilemmas: Can we use all collected data of dashboards? Can we use the data for the greater good of public health? Can we use and keep the data around for artificial intelligence? How about the healthcare worker’s right to privacy? And how about consent?
