From 8 to 10 September, Care about IT took part in the Forum on Vocational Excellence in Kolding, where all CoVEs came together.
The first day started with the CopCoves meeting, where 40 of the 69 Coves were present. Finally, we got to see each other in person instead of online. The meeting was all about getting to know each other better, and we had to complete assignments in mixed groups. We played a game of “I'm getting to know someone” bingo, followed by teamwork to build the tallest tower with spaghetti. While some were cautious with the amount of building material, others got to work energetically.
The forum kicked off in the evening with a warm welcome reception at Koldinghus. After this, the CC of Care about IT had there official meeting and discussed about all the things to do and arrange regarding the program.
The second day featured a full program with inspiring keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops. Care about IT partners from Finland and Estonia contributed by giving a workshop on microcredentials. The partners from Italy and the Netherlands contributed in the workshop on how to Hackathon. Both workshops are part of what we develop within Care about IT and gave us the opportunity to disseminate. Topics such as excellence in VET, collaboration between public and private partners, and the role of VET in European competitiveness were at the heart of the discussions.
There was also plenty of space for networking and knowledge exchange. The day ended on a festive note with a poster session and a walking dinner at local educational institutions.
On the final day, participants joined various study visits. We look back on three valuable days full of knowledge, inspiration, and international connection. Thanks to Henriette Hansen and her team for the wonderful and strict organization of everything. Thanks to that we could enjoy and meet.
