How do we prepare VET students and professionals for the future? This question is central to the new podcast ‘Het MBO in gesprek’, which focuses on future-ready skills within Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The podcast explores the 4C skills – critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication – and how these competencies can be meaningfully embedded in VET education and professional practice. These themes closely align with the Micro Credential 4C’s, developed as part of a Care About IT assignment.
Through this initiative, Care About IT strengthens its role as a connector between education, care and technology, contributing to innovation and knowledge exchange across the VET sector. The podcast brings together educators and professionals to share experiences and reflect on how future skills can be translated into daily teaching and learning.
The podcast is initiated by the Practoraat Care and Technology and developed in collaboration with partners including DCTerra, Drenthe College, Noorderpoort and Alfa College. Together, they foster a cross-institutional dialogue and a shared learning ecosystem within VET.
