Recently, a delegation from the Care About IT team travelled to Alba, Italy, to take part in a Teachers Exchange hosted by Apro Formazione. Together with colleagues from Estonia, Finland and Italy, the week offered plenty of opportunities for exchange, reflection and meaningful conversations across borders.
The programme focused on guidance and job shadowing: how do we support students in finding their way towards future roles in healthcare and technology? Participants worked with the Guidance Kit, exploring how it can support concrete career orientation, and were introduced to the Bèta & Tech Mentality model, a valuable framework for understanding what motivates different types of students in care and technology pathways.
Beyond the formal programme, the exchange highlighted the value of learning together. Sharing experiences, perspectives and challenges made it clear that guidance, talent development and the role of technology are shared themes across Europe. Different contexts, similar questions, and a lot of mutual inspiration.
The exchange concluded with fresh insights, renewed energy and practical ideas to further implement the Guidance Kit and the Bèta & Tech Mentality model within the region. More to come soon on how these insights will be translated into practice.
