The Care About IT European Network of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) is co-creating a skills ecosystem across the EU, with centres in Estonia, Finland, Italy and the Netherlands.
What is a CoVE?
A Centre of Vocational Excellence or CoVE, in the European Union perspective, refers to an initiative aimed at fostering excellence in vocational education and training (VET) across EU member states. CoVEs operate both at a local and international level, acting as catalysts for vocational training and education excellence, innovation, and regional development.
The European Commission supports the development of CoVEs through various programs and funding mechanisms, such as Erasmus+ and the European Structural and Investment Funds. These initiatives are part of the broader EU strategy to enhance vocational education and training for economic growth and social inclusion, aligning with the European Pillar of Social Rights and the EU’s ambition for a competitive, fair, and sustainable economy.
